Honorable Minister for Health and Family Welfare Launches the National Scale up of eMIS

Mr. Mohammed Nasim, MP, Honourable Minister for Health and Family Welfare launched the national scale-up of eMIS at a ceremony held on October 11, 2017 at Hotel Sonargaon. Under the eMIS initiative for strengthening routine health information system, four implementing partners of USAID are supporting the DGHS for digitizing the work of community workers and union level service providers through android apps (for tablet PCs) and web based applications. The eMIS was implemented in Tangail and Habiganj first and is now going out to be rolled out to 5 new districts. Emphasizing the vision of Digital Bangladesh, Honorable Minister highlighted the need for extending the coverage of eMIS all over the country in due course.
