Honorable Minister for Health and Family Welfare Launches the National Scale up of eMIS

Mr. Mohammed Nasim, MP, Honourable Minister for Health and Family Welfare launched the national scale-up of eMIS at a ceremony held on October 11, 2017 at Hotel Sonargaon. Under the eMIS initiative for strengthening routine health information system, four implementing partners of USAID are supporting the DGHS for digitizing the work of community workers and union level service providers through android apps (for tablet PCs) and web based applications. The eMIS was implemented in Tangail and Habiganj first and is now going out to be rolled out to 5 new districts. Emphasizing the vision of Digital Bangladesh, Honorable Minister highlighted the need for extending the coverage of eMIS all over the country in due course.

Support Ticket

Support Ticket is an unique addition to the health system of Bangladesh. An online software system has been created and implemented instead of paper-based and file oriented office management with a view to building up a digital health system and to ensure proper health care delivery at all levels.
The papers, applications, demands, queries that were previously mailed to central authority that was time consuming and underwent a complex official procedure, are now completely being received and solved by support ticket software tool. Now this has been efficiently popular at all facilities under Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
